Holy Carp!

Ugh! It's been so long since I last posted ;-; I'm so sorry everyone.
We had our internet shut off and have finally gotten it turned back on! Yay!!!!

Decent Christmas present I suppose lol.
Anyway!! We have been working our butts off and I Have tons of new stuff to share! For now though Let's all enjoy this time with our families.

Will have an update later this week.

After an hour fight I think I might be able to get this posted!
Another Mini blog as I want to make sure I'm able to get something up

So first of all I want to show you guys Yokos Signature items.
These were made by the wonderful and amazing Hen over at etsy. Her stuff is just fantastic and She takes requests.
I'm also having Shira's Ribbon Arm Warmers knitted up by my another friend, but I just got the materials to her today so it will be a while before i see those but I will totally share  them once I get them.

So we have Yoko's Hat, Scarf and bag

The hat and scarf are really warm. And the bag is just the right size for a mini sketch book, my pens and pencils, wallet keys and phone. If you plan on hitting up PAX East in Boston next year you'll be able to spot me wearing this.

WE had to put a liner in the bag to keep t from stretching out, but it's wonderful for everything.

The scarf  is just over 10 feet long and awesome!!

 The Hat is a Slouchy Beanie, which is perfect with Yokos semi frumpy style <3

Now for some other fun stuff. Our scanner is in the midst of being replaced... again ;-; so I wasn't able to get anything scanned in but I took some pics of a few things I'm working on and the tools I use while creating Welcome.

This is everything you will find in My Bag.

Three Volumes of Computones, A black portfolio (this carries MAnga and other art that needs to be inked), my Cell Phone (which now totally hates me and refuses to work properly), one of many erasesrs (I use the White Vinyl ones), My Sakura Brand Pigment Pens (I buy Almost  everything Through Michaels, that 50% off coupon will save you a lot of money), My black Chopstick Pen and Titanium Pencil (I've been using that same pencil for 7 years and can't draw with anything else) There's the Welcome Binder! Slowly being covered in Welcome Stickers, this holds all the boring writing and plotting and character Profiles. And last but not least the Sketch and Doodle Folder (the open book top center) Which holds all the doodles and other silly stuff I draw.

My Pencil and Pens, The Pen on the end is a Staedler Mars Professional, Fantastic pen as you can replace the ink with different sized nibs.

Also!!! Fun times, we've just opened our Yotube Channel, "Welcome Series" and are hoping to have a trailer ready to go for the end of the Year.  You'll find the animated series there once we're ready as well as random videos of us making a fool of ourselves <3 Cause we're geeks like that ^_^

mini update

Ugh... soooo many router problems at our place it's making it impossible for anyone to do anything. And now my phone doesn't want to connect to the internet -_-;;;
But A full update coming tonight with some pretty cool stuff.
Some new art and a bit of back story for you as well as some actual Gear that the characters wear. (I'll be posting pics of Yokos hat, scarf and Bag)
So we're still alive just the internet isn't liking us right now.

Holy Cheese

One thing I hate is delays... Even more so when it's me who's delayed. So first I would like to apologize to everyone for the lack of posts. Between ruining my Laptop (and completely destroying my computer at work) and the fact that my Router has been the worlds worst room mate, it's been a rough little while. This will be a short but quick post cause I don't want to take any Chances of writing up everything I have planned only to lose it in the end *Shakes her fist angrily at the router* But Don't think I'm going to leave you empty handed. No no,I did promise last time that there would be pictures and Indeed I have pictures, just a few, Kinda like a look at what the characters use to look like when we thought we were good artist and what they look like now that we complain about being terrible artists

The Original Yoko was Drawn by the other half of this Crazy Duo Ser Flash. He was actually a good artist all those years ago.

Next update will be Monday Evening. I'm leaving work early so as long as nothing goes wrong with my internet then Look for the next update. I'll cover the history of Welcome and have more pics to show you as well as some very cool Stuff, like Yokos Signature hat and Bag that she has in the series (She has a scarf too but that is currently being made) also if I can find it Shinra's Coat (cause Damn I love the thing) Novembers Updates will be a little wonky due in part to National Novel Writing Month or... Nanowrimo <3 <3 <3  For Nano I will be working on the Supplementary  Book to the welcome series which sets forth all kinds of things that will happen in Welcome as well as it's Linking Series Dragons Red. Something to look forward too.  Also the Begining of Welcome is underway so I should hopefully have some of that up for you soon.
As a little treat though I will give you an old piece that has since been re-written.

“What do you want?” His voice was harsh and just as hateful as his eyes.
“I was hoping to talk to you.” She said quietly and walked over, sitting down in front of him.
“I don’t wanna talk.” Shinra whined and looked away from her.
Celes frowned. She knew that what she would be doing would be best for the boy but it felt wrong to force this upon him.
“Please, Shinra.” She said softly. “I want to know what you’ve done today.”
“Nothing. I haven’t done anything.” He looked at her quickly with a scowl “You won’t let me do anything!”
“Do you know why?”
Shinra let out a frustrated sigh and turned his back to her.
“You don’t like me. No one likes me.” He kicked the wall in anger.
“That’s not true.” Celes replied and gently placed a hand on his shoulder. “Lots of people like you.”
“No they don’t!!!” Shinra cried out and shook her hand away from him. He let out a sob and began to cry.

Welcome!!

Omg, Hello everyone and welcome to the Official Welcome! blog, where you'll find all things Welcome Related from Character Sketches,  Special Downloads and other fun things revolving around Shinra and the gang.

Anyone who isn't familiar with me, the Name is Yoko (if you're from Gaia then you'll know me as Thaein, if you watch Bullet Heaven then you'll know me as Daeruna), I'm the Lead Designer, Executive producer and Director of the Studio Mudprints Comic and Animation Division.  I'm also co-founder with my Awesome friend Ser Flash. He's in charge of web content and Video production.


For anyone who's not familiar with Welcome, it's a Manga Series about an Alien High School student who's been chosen to become a God but he's a little reluctant, trying to balance School life and God hood isn't as easy as it sounds, especially when both are daunting.

We've got a temporary background going on, the Lovely Elsa will grace your screen for the time being 

Right now as some of you have asked I'm working on getting the beginning of Shinra's story ready for posting, taking a little bit longer than expected, especially after last weeks tantrum which almost sent the Welcome project through the shredder. Thankfully, the department managed to knock some sense into me and saved the whole thing.  We're also working on stickers and buttons and other fun things so look forward to the next post in a few days.
 
Coming up - The History of Welcome and The original sketches from when Welcome first started out (you'll need some eye bleach, some of the art is reallllly bad, but don't be afraid to laugh, we laugh at it all the time.)
